we made tortillas with an investigator this week!! this is the thing they cook it on and the machine they use to make the tortillas flat and round...but with the hands is better quality

 

Churrasco! :)) its my favorite food here!!!! :))))))) churrasco is like a piece of meat with salsa, and then potatoes, and tortillas!! its delicious!

 our pday today! we went to this random place today and played capture the flag! and then we had a bbq and make hamburgers by the river!!! (it reminded me of home for sure!!)

BUENAS TARDES MI QUERIDO FAMILIA!!!! :))))

This week we saw the blessings for sure! so first..we have this investigator named Celeste! 3 weeks ago we received her as a reference from a memeber! she is the wife of a menos activo! but he is starting to come back to church. we havent been able to meet with her because we either forget to ask her right after the sacrament meeting or she leaves..but this week we found her house and were able to meet with her! she really wants to be baptized and already has her assistances needed so she just falts teaching!! :)) which is super cool! she accepted the date of 14 of Febuary! :) but this week we had a lesson with her and i asked her why she decided to start coming and why she wants to be baptized! she told us that her and her husband were having a lot of problems, but they decided that they needed to go back to church..and they did! and since then they have been stronger and their relationship has improved! it was a huge testimony to me (even though i already knew this) that the gospel blesses families! that is the second principle that we teach people! BECAUSE ITS TRUE!!!!! this gospel will help our families! and its so cool to see how it has helped celeste and her husband!!! :)))

also we had the opportunity to hear from a member of the area presidency this week!! :) Elder Ochoa came to the mission friday and spoke to us!! it was so cool to be able to hear from a General Authority!! :) i just want to share a little about what he taught us!!!! :))) i have like 5 pages of notes in my journal from him but i just want to share 4 or 5 phrases that he told us that really stood out to me!!! :) (i will translate them into english lol) 

1: we couldnt be saved without the atonement! 

2: read the scriptures, because they have eternal life

3: we should be one with the Lord

4: i should lose myself in the Lord

5: all of the hard things of the mission help us better understand chirsts journey...that is a privelage that we have!!!! :))

also presidente ruiz and hermana ruiz spoke to us and the main message of them was that serving a mission is not a sacrifice, but a blessing!!!!! :)))) 

This week i learned a lot! and i can tell that the spirit is working with me! because everyday i can feel him testify to me of the truthfullness of things! AMO SER MISIONERA!!!! :))) i hope that this coming week you will all remember just how much our savior loves us! and just how powerful his Atonement really is! if you want to read a little bit i would encourage you to read 2 Nephi 2 :) have a great week and know that i love you all!!!!! :)))

Hello Again!!!!:))))

Hey familia! :))

Well my week was good!! cambios were this week, and my beloved comp hermana hernandez had changes! she left and is now in Tecunuman! (super far away lol) however! i have a new comp!! :)) her name is Hermana Gonzales, and she is from Honduras!!! :) she is super cute and a super hard worker!! even though i was really sad that hna hernanadez left (and we cried a lot lol) but i also really like cambios! they bring a new energy into the work! hermana gonzales is a hard worker!! from the first day she got here we have worked hard all day and foudn 16 new investigators this week!! not all of them are super positive but hey! we have to find a lot to find the positives!!!! :) it was really fun!! we did a lot of contacting (which is weird because i dont usually like contacting in the street) but it was so fun! we did a bunch of random fun activities to help us! like on thursday we had to talk to people in blue shirts!!! and contact them! and then on sunday night we were looking for people in white shirts!! it was really fun!!!!!! :)))) 

 i was really nervous for changes! bc we knew that hermana hernandez was gonna leave and i was really nervous to be in charge of the area (not a comp A but as the only one who knew the area) and hermana hernandez told me something that helped me so much! and i have seen this come true this week! she said that with every assignment or thing we need to do the lord will give us the strength and the capacity to do it all!!! even the things we dont like to do, he will help us! and i have seen that this week! he has given me more confidence as a missionary and more confidence in my spanish!!!!! :)) he truly qualifies the called!!! :) ALSO!!! i finished my training!!! i am officially a real missionary!!!!! whoooo hoooo!!!! 

I also have a quick story!! yesterday cristian (the recent convert of ours) came with us to some of our lessons!!!! :)) it was so cool to see how pilas he is! and to see how much he knows already!! the whole time i was like a proud mom! hahaha he also helped an investigator to pray!!!! it was so cool!!! lets just say that i dont know what the lord has planned for him...but it is something huge!!! i cant wait to see what it is!!!!! :)) i am very blessed to have been a part of his conversion!!!!!! :))) 

well thats about it from the week!! sorry if it doesnt make sense or is lame lol but know that i love you and pray for you all every day!!!!! :))) dont forget how much the lord has blessed us and how much his gospel means in our lives!!!! i love you all and hope you have a great week!!!
