give so much in order to receive the blessings of the temple? Those who
understand the eternal blessings which come from the temple know that no
sacrifice is too great, no price too heavy, no struggle too difficult in order
to receive those blessings. There are never too many miles to travel,
too many obstacles to overcome, or too much discomfort to endure. They
understand that the saving ordinances received in the temple that permit us to
someday return to our Heavenly Father in an eternal family relationship and to
be endowed with blessings and power from on high are worth every
sacrifice and every effort."
i wanted to start with this quote
because i love it!! and it reminds me of why i am on my mission! the temple is
the goal we have in mind..not just baptism! we had the opportunity to go to the
temple this week as a mission! it was an amazing
experience!!! the session was in spanish...and i was pretty nervous not gonna
lie! but i understood it! and it was an amazing experience! after the session i
was pondering and i realized that i want every single person i teach and know
to go to the temple and receive the ordinances there! only in the temple can we
receive all the blessings that heavenly father has for us!!!!! :)))) the Guatemalans are so blessed! they have 2 temples!!!!! i know the temples are
kinda far away from our house..but please make it a priority to go to the
temple often!!!!! :)))))))
also this week in church..we had to
speak! me and my comp were the speakers! i was super nervous! but it ended up
being really good! i talked about the mutual theme for 2015, D&C 4:2!
Therefore, O ye that embark in the service of God, see that yea serve him with all your heart, might, mind and strength, that yea may stand blameless before God at the last day.
as members of the church we
have to serve the lord with all our heart, might, mind, and strength!! he needs
all of us in this work!! :)))))))) please..if you can! visit investigators with
the missionaries!!! you will love it!!!! :))))) also in church..cristian..our
recent convert..BLESSED THE SACRAMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was SO cool!!!! :)) and
next week cristian and william galindo are going to do it!!!! how cool is
that!!!!!!!!?????? :)))))))))))))))))
we had a low part this week though..
remember our investigator José? (idk
if i told you about him, but he is 70 and is super positive and had a fecha for
the 7 of march!) well this week we visited him on Tuesday and he told us that
he was moving from mazate because he needed help financially from his daughter
and she wanted him to live with her! so this week we ran around like crazy people
trying to get everything ready for him so he could be baptized and confirmed
before he left! well the day of his baptism came and the hour too..and we couldn't find him! we searched all day and nothing! well it was like 4.30 (his baptism was at 4) and we were walking to go find him..and found him in the
street walking! we talked to him and he told us he couldn't be baptized because
he daughter didn't want it! and a bunch of other of stuff but needless to say we didn't have his baptism..it was very sad!! he wants to be baptized but fears man
more than god! hopefully we can help him realize that and he can get baptized
soon!!!! :))))))
but saturday we had the baptism of
celeste!!! :) she is so cute and was so happy after ward!! she told us that she
was nervous because she didnt have skirts to wear afterwards..but went and
bought like 4 of them the day before her baptism!!!! I LOVE THIS GOSPEL!!!!
also..we have another investigator named carmen! i have known her for a long
time but never taught her until like 3 weeks ago! she has a date for this
weekend! she goes to seminary everyday and loves church and everything!!! the
youth here are super pilas!!! its so cool to see their testimonies!!!!!! :)))
i
just want to end with my testimony, that i know this church is true! i have
felt this more than ever here! and i love being able to go out everyday and
share the gospel with people!!! the people are so humble and so loving!!!!! i
love this gospel and i know jesus christ lives!!!
